Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are swollen, inflamed veins around your anus or the lower part of your rectum. There are two types:

  • External hemorrhoids, which form under the skin around your anus
  • Internal hemorrhoids, which form in the lining of your anus and lower rectum

Hemorrhoids(Piles)

  • Hemorrhoids happen when there is too much pressure on the veins around the anus. This can be caused by

    • Straining during bowel movements
    • Sedentary life style .
    • Chronic constipation or diarrhea
    • A low-fiber diet, eating spicy or non veg frequently
    • Low water intake .

Symptoms

Symptoms may vary depending upon severity . Most common symptoms are:

  1. Itching in anal region
  2. Pain mostly burning , throbbing or prickling pain
  3. Bleeding per rectum

 

If symptoms persist long , it may lead to fissure or prolapse
